In California, an Opportunity to Highlight Schools in the Conversation on Health Reform

California Health Benefit Exchange (HBEX), the independent public entity charged with preparing the state to meet the goals established by national health reform, is soliciting feedback from stakeholders on topics including outreach and retention to various target populations through January 30, 2012.

On December 2, 2011, California HBEX issued a list of questions to stakeholders for input that will aid in the development of policies to maximize enrollment by the 2014 deadline. This is a great opportunity for those involved in school-based health to engage in the conversation over how California can best provide increased and sustainable access to coverage and high quality care to children and other vulnerable populations with the right support.

Paradigm encourages you to submit comments related to your specific expertise on the pivotal role played by schools in performing outreach and enrollment assistance, and any potential you see for procedural implementations or improvements.

Keep in mind that the California HBEX solicitation is a questionnaire, so you can answer as few or as many questions as you’d like.
