RMTS for LEA Billing — Implementation Advisory Group Publishes August Meeting Summary

The Implementation Advisory Group (IAG) provided the following updates from their August 9, 2016 meeting:

  • Workgroup members are testing the draft CRCS and related instructions; two LEA members will be using their own data to provide detailed feedback to DHCS on edits and other suggestions. The draft CRCS is in the final stages of testing and the IAG expects to submit this to CMS in the coming weeks.
  • IAG members reviewed several documents currently in draft form, including the draft LEA Program Implementation Guide and the upcoming LEA Program Training scheduled for October 13, 2016.
  • Members received a breifing on the recent federal audit of Alabama’s administrative claiming program, which included findings related to the administration of the RMTS, including inconsistency in work schedules that resulted in selection bias of the random sample, improper treatment of invalid moment responses, and the RMTS contractor’s inability to replicate the sample population or store random numbers that could be used to reproduce the sample.
  • DHCS acknowledged that they had a conference call with CMS on July 18; details of this call were not included in the IAG Meeting Minutes

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 13, 2016.
