RMTS for LEA Billing — Implementation Advisory Group Publishes May Meeting Summaries

The Implementation Advisory Group (IAG) has published minutes from their meetings on May 4th and May 31st, including the following updates:

  • The IAG is actively seeking stakeholder feedback regarding a technical software “wish list.” This list includes reports and functionality that would be beneficial for users in three major categories: Time Survey Participant (TSP) Management, RMTS Reporting, and Customer Support.
    • If you have items you would like added to this list, please use the IAG’s feedback tool to inform the group.
  • Proposed legislation that would impact the SMAA program, SB 123, was discussed for possible implications to the RMTS-LEA Billing implementation.
  • The group discussed Louisiana’s experience with implementing a similar State Plan Amendment related to adding billing for non-IEP school nursing services.
  • Several programatic aspects of incorporating RMTS into LEA Billing were also discussed, including: matching time survey participation (TSPs) to their cost reporting data, various transportation billing models, cost reporting instructions, and TSP roster guidance.
  • DHCS reported that they are scheduling another follow-up meeting with CMS sometime this summer to discuss ongoing progress regarding the responses being drafted by the state to address CMS’ request for additional information (RAIs). You can view these here on the DHCS LEA Billing website.

The next IAG meeting is scheduled for July 12, 2016.

Feedback for the IAG, including questions and concerns, can be submitted using the online  Stakeholder Feedback Tool.
