RMTS for LEA Billing—Implementation Advisory Group Publishes October Meeting Summary

The Implementation Advisory Group (IAG) has published minutes from their October 3, 2017 meeting. Of interest:

  • Navigant presented the technical RMTS “Wish List” items that were discussed during previous IAG meetings. The IAG discussed these items with DHCS and asked for them to be considered in the upcoming RMTS software system Request for Proposal (RFP). The LECs in attendance stated that they would review these items and discuss with the RFP subcommittee. Specifics of the RMTS “Wish List” were not reported in the meeting minutes.
  • Navigant gave an update regarding a recent federal OIG audit of Texas wherein it was noted that a summer quarter RMTS must be conducted since some LEAs are in session and delivering service for a portion of that time; there was no report of potential implications or changes to California’s current RMTS plan which averages the summer quarter results in lieu of conducting an RMTS.
  • The IAG reviewed a history of Targeted Case Management (TCM) discussions, a TCM certification process, and a decision tree to help resolve coding issues between the LEA BOP and SMAA Programs. Navigant will make updates to the TCM certification statement and decision tree, based upon the discussion at the IAG meeting.

The next IAG meeting is scheduled for December 12, 2017 and it was noted that this is intended to be the last in-person meeting.
